We each have stories to tell, lots of them. It’s a shame to keep them all to ourselves. I have decided to start telling you my stories. And with me will be my digital camera, my laptop, my iPad and my iPhone. My camera and my iPhone have been travelling with me for sometime now. It’s time to bring you all along with us.
It all started with the desire to spread a little happiness amidst gloomy stories you see and read and experience in everyday life. If we haven’t noticed, the way we conduct ourselves, the way we talk, and the way we deal with each other are shaped by the very things we see, we hear, we read everyday. If the way of the world is anger, greed, hatred, distrust, we tend to be pulled by that flow. I believe, though, that each one of us has each own innate goodness. Each one is capable of loving, understanding, tolerant, accepting and forgiving. This I want to magnify in the stories that I want to tell.
First of all, I have to find a medium where I can tell these stories. You may have already notices I have tested a blog site by writing Happy Father’s Day on Father’s Day. Very raw and yet I pushed myself to learn a little more. And then, I came up with Life in the desert. It is becoming exciting! Exciting to be finally getting my stories out, at the same time, I am learning new things everyday. A challenge, yes, but it excites me more. I am learning bit by bit, discovering ways that have been there for a long time but I think I have never been interested until now. It will take me a while to really learn the ropes, but I know I will get there.
I am inviting you to join me in this journey. Of telling stories. But more so of learning how to do it. And do it well. I hope to be looking back a few years from now how far have we gone, how happy we have been, how many frowns we have changed into smiles, how sweet the sound of laughters have been, and how rewarding the journey has been. In the meantime, we will let every small victorious step be an inspiration to keep going. And going. And going. Until finally we can say, WE DID IT!
